The research activity of UMR-MD1 is anchored by two specialized platforms:
- The BAC-SCREEN platform, a biosafety level 2 facility dedicated to high-content screening (HCS) of bacteria. BAC-SCREEN operates at the crossroads of chemistry and microbiology, supporting the development of novel antibiotic molecules to address the critical issue of antibiotic resistance. Its core expertise lies in discovering inhibitors that target resistance mechanisms associated with the bacterial membrane and efflux pump systems
- MarP MCT or PIT2 is a mass spectrometry plateform with the ibisa label and norm nfx 5032 under the biggest platform Marseille proteomics. The platform is located in the basement of the school of pharmacy.
